Week 13 is lame!

I was never one to believe in bad luck, but my week 13 hasn't been a bed of roses so I may reconcider that. Monday morning I started being uber sick again, not keeping anything down, ugh. It was a step back I really wasn't ready for. I was rather upset and moody.

Now things seem to be finally taking a turn for the better. This morning I awoke feeling pretty perky. I had enough energy for a shower and managed to eat some yogurt. Very exciting!

Must get well, friday is coffee party and sunday is bridemaid dress shopping, woot!

The baby is stubborn like me!

Today was our visit to the doctor's for the monthly check up. Had a physical and all those wonderful women exams, yuck. Checked out perfectly, woot!

She then said we could try and listen to the heartbeat of baby, but that we still might not be able too since its behind the pelvic bone. Needless to say my baby wouldn't let us listen! Doctor says, your baby isn't cooperating, lol. That means its definetly my kid! Hehe.

Apprently my uterus is the size of a grapefruit and baby is almost the size of a lime. Why do we compare all things to food? I was getting really hungry at that point. But all my crazy morning sickness (which expands into afternoon and evenings) is a good sign of things progressing. Glad to hear it. Hear is hoping it ends soon, which it may, as I am at 12.5 weeks. Crazy!!!

Finally found out my blood type. Not sure why it is so hard to find out, but they kept not getting the info from the lab or something, but I am a O+ which is funny because Ken is also an O+. Guess it takes away from guessing what the baby's blood type will be.

Ken's cousin Sara just had her baby last friday, a little boy named Aaron. Saw some pictures, he is very cute. Kinda made the moment more real to me, I am going to have a little person in my arms by summers end. Very overwhelming....very scary....but very exciting.

"Don't Stop" by Fleetwood Mac

If you wake up and don't want to smile,
If it takes just a little while,
Open your eyes and look at the day,
You'll see things in a different way.

Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don't stop, it'll soon be here,
It'll be, better than before,
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone.

Why not think about times to come,
And not about the things that you've done,
If your life was bad to you,
Just think what tomorrow will do.

Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don't stop, it'll soon be here,
It'll be, better than before,
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone.

All I want is to see you smile,
If it takes just a little while,
I know you don't believe that it's true,
I never meant any harm to you.

Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don't stop, it'll soon be here,
It'll be, better than before,
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone.
Don't you look back,
Don't you look back.

How much do I love my husband?

Two words, dumpster diving!

Yes, at midnight Ken had discovered that he had misplaced his release form he had gotten in the mail this week. It was from one of the people he had interviewed and needed to send it to the publishers. Needless to say when it arrived I said, better start a file in the cabinet so it doesn't get misplaced. However, after agreeing he placed it back in the envelope.

So, when I cleaned up yesterday I assumed the pile of opened mail was now garbage. Needless to say it was tossed and now he was outside digging for it. Feeling somewhat responsible and in tears, I took the flashlight and decided to help.

We hadn't been digging long when we saw a flicker of lights behind us, oh goodie, it was the local patrol guard. With a sheepish and most innocent look I could muster, I spoke. "Um, we feel pretty stupid but we threw out an important letter." Looking us over I think we seemed somewhat trustable, not by our clothes of course since we threw on garbage digging attire. He kinda smiled, "ah, thats not good." He took our names and appartment number to check it and didn't come back so I assume we passed. Needless to say, Ken will be calling our building manager tomorrow to give him the deal too.

Time for the happy ending, we found the silly letter and all is good. It is NOW in a safe location and Ken has learned an important lesson. Don't leave trash around a moody pregnant lady, or you will be digging for it later in the dumpster. Its a good thing Ladner people have pretty clean trash.

Huzzah for pills!

Well, after 3 days of being uber sick... again why is it called morning sickness if it lasts all day? I finally decided that the lack of food and water was taking its toll on my body and I turned to the prescription my doctor gave me for Diclectin. My goodness, what a difference. Yesterday, was still a bit rough, I think more getting use to the idea of not being sick every 20 minutes. Today, I woke up, took another pill and had a bowl of cereal, you have no idea how good that was. YAY!

My mouth still tastes like cotton balls but I can live with that. I am hoping now I can continute with my work projects, I was getting worried about finishing them on time. Ugh, its kinda too bad everything fell due around the same time.

In other news, can not believe its Friday already. My goodness, time flys when you are sick. This is Ken's last weekend at home before his classes start up again. He is gonna help me with the video project and I think we will try and get the Christmas stuff packed up, sigh. Seems like I get it all up and then it has to all come down. Blah.

Time for a nice, warm shower.....ah.

Ugh...

Once getting back from our brief trip to Renton, WA, I soon started the full effects of all day morning sickness. It came as rather a shock. I was used to the regular morning visit to the bathroom and then I could get on with my day. Sadly, this is not the case anymore. I can not keep anything down for more than 45 minutes. UGH.

I really want to enjoy this pregnacy, but I am really finding it hard at this point. My body wants food, so I have something, only to regret it later. Ken has been most kind in this process, for I do not want to cook at all. Bless his kind heart.

I am pretty much 10 weeks and have been told things should calm down in the next few weeks as I finish up the first trimester. I am praying that I am not one of these ladies that have the sickness throughout. UGH.
