Happy Easter everyone! Its sunny and lovely here today. We got to see our good friend Doug Schulz today at church, Ariel was decked out in her perfect Easter dress, and it was an overwhelming service of faith.

We are finalizing our packing for tomorrow. The living room is filled with suitcases, ack! Tonight is dinner at Dad and Rita's, yay food! Lots still for me to do, but if I get time tonight, I will post some Easter pics. Peace out my friends!

Good Friday

Had a good day in general. It was really nice out, church was lovely, Kara danced - whee! Ariel was watching her ever so closely during her practice run. Too cute. The church is starting to really look finished. The carpet was in and there weren't many visuals that rang out as unfinished. The open house is fast approching, so its gonna be great for sure. I hope someone takes pics for us while we are gone. Other news, Happy Birthday Dan! (My youngest brother in law)

We didn't do much today, just hung out with Ariel, did some projects that needed to be finished before we leave and Ken did some sketches of our birthday gift for Ariel (yes its early, but with our schedules we need all the time we can get). Tomorrow is cleaning day, making things less messy for Natalie. Sunday is Easter, busy day, then we are gone the following day. Yikes.

New toes, new business!

Twas a fun day with Nana, Stella and Kara, as we all got pedicures, whee. All pretty for Easter. We had Nav come over and it was nice to chat, eat and get pretty. Kara and I even braved 'threading', she her brows and me my upper lip (thanks harry genes). No laughing, we all have fuzz! I can honestly say that it was very cool and the final product is amazing. So smooth, but it did hurt a bit. Only once did I let a yelp out. It made my eyes water, but I figured if I had a baby, I needed to suck it up. Haha.

Ariel had a good time playing with the water in the soaking tub. She was totally wanting to be in on the action, and even soaked her feet. The girl is too cute. Here are some pics!





















Other news, Stella and I are going into the Binkie Blanket business! Basically, they are a 20x21 blanket that baby can take anywhere. They are light enough to play peek a boo with, and a nice size for the light covering in car seats and strollers. One side is fleece, the other cotton.

The main feature of this blanket is, its a fun blanket for games as the child grows. The main side is an eye spy game! We have hundreds of different, fun materials to make these for kids. We have the neutral fabrics, a bit of everything, right down to a boys or girls only version. See the images below to see an example of a neutral one, and samples of other fabrics available. As babies grow, you can use it on car or airplane trips for easy games. Pointing to objects like a story book, eye spy, name the color etc.

These blankets are quilted and are going to be TOTALLY original each time round. No two blankets are the same. Ariel loves hers and is our spokes baby, lol. We are selling them for $20 each, so if you are interested, leave a comment!

Guess what came in the mail today...

A quacking, yellow block from Aunty Trudy! It was so funny, I opened the package and squeezed it, thus the duck quacked. Ariel's head whipped around and a look of shock and amazement grew on her face. Once giving it to her, she grabbed it, held it up as if to say 'ITS BACK!' Most of our afternoon was spend with this block. Ariel is now napping after such a big moment in her young life. A big thank you again to Trudy and her kids for outgrowing this block. Ariel loves it sooooo much and once again I have cut our future therapy bills. Note to self, don't step on this one.

This morning was to be baby day with Ariel's 2 boyfriends. Sadly, little Issac got his first cold and was sick today and couldn't make it. Poop. Ariel and Carter still managed to have a ball... well when he wasn't freaking out at Ariel coming at him. She is a little flirt. Poor Carter would cry if she got too close or pushy. I don't blame him, she is pretty strong willed... cough... not sure were she gets that from. Anyways, between the cries, the kids had fun, as did the numerous adults that came through. We even managed to get a few cute pictures of them together. She kinda looks bigger than him in this picture, but they are pretty even on the height department. Weight, he is still more than her. I got to hold him briefly, before the cries started, and noted he was much heavier. Crazy.

Last night we had dinner at Dad and Rita's for his birthday. Some of my Aunts, Uncles and cousins were there, so it was fun to chat and catch up. Ariel got to ride the big wooden rocking horse with help from Grandpa. My Aunt, who is originally from Israel, was delighted with Ariel's name, because of course its Hebrew. She and my cousins were telling me that there is even a city in Jerusalem that is named Ariel. Very cool. Dinner was good and during dessert Mike and Jo stopped in after the Easter dinner at her parents place.

Ariel did pretty good for such a busy weekend, but its pretty evident how she is going to be during our trip. She is starting to be easily overwhelmed with large groups of people. She doesn't cry so much, but gets whiny and clingy. This week I am trying to keep her as low key as possible, not that its that easy to do with all the preparation left looming. This trip has really approached fast. Wow.

Our faithful house sitter is going to be holding down the ranch and lucky readers, I will have access to internet from our hotel, so expect fun updates and pictures. The countdown has begun, one week. Ack! In closing, here is Ariel in the dress she wore sunday to church. This was a dress I wore that I believe my mom made. How cute is that. Awe.

Also, I have become addicted to Facebook. Gack. Come find me on there if you wish. Tis a happy place.

Stella brought white roses to church today, you would have loved them. Your memorial garden is looking beautiful too, such a blessing we have in our church family. I love you and miss you, but your granddaughter has your warmth and spirit, so its kinda like you are still here. Its the first time, in seven years that I don't feel so alone on this day.
