Anyhoo, here is some pictures from our day at the PNE. I am still a little overwhelmed with the amount of people that were there... note to self, try to go next time before the long weekend. Argh. We still had fun, but it was so full that it was hard for Ariel to see things... us too.
We saw some cool sandcastles, this was my favorite... I think it was the winner of the people's favorite award too. I guess its somewhat traditional.
Turns out Ariel is into the food aspect of the PNE as well. Yum. Look at her eye up daddy's fries.
We made it to the Superdog show. Ariel loved it!!! She would clap for the dogs and dance with the music. However, we did duck out before the show was completely over so we could get our stroller out of 'stroller parking' before the crowds came. Ariel picked out a new puppy friend to come home with us. If you didn't know, our daughter is REALLY into 'doggies'. Everything is doggies! Hehe.
Ariel poses with Mommy and Daddy.
Then we went to the petting farm. I often wonder if these animals are given drugs to keep them mellow? Either way, she enjoyed petting them, not so much the line we had to wait in to do so, but that's the joys of the fair.
Who is that cute apple?
Those little donuts. Enough said.
Daddy pretended to be an anchorman. Ariel kept pointing to the big tv and yelling daddy!
We left the PNE around 530pm, but didn't get home till about 7ish. Ariel slept on the ride home, and had a nice dinner of leftover meatloaf.
Next day Ariel was proud red, white and blue for church. There was a new family checking out our church and they had a little girl who was 17 months. She and Ariel had a great time playing in the nursery, so I hope they come again.
This morning, it was all about playing with 'doggy'.
We went to visit Nana, and do some laundry for princess. Ariel thought she would help by wearing her clothes hamper on her head. Ken thought she looked like R2D2.
Then we got a visit from Aunty Stella and Uncle Jack with her completed rocking horse. She loved riding it, once she realized it was safe.
Of course it wouldn't be perfect unless there was a doggy with it.
So that was our weekend in a nutshell. I still can't believe that school starts tomorrow for kids and thats its actually fall! Weird. It was a wonderful summer. Whee.
