Here is the top of my fridge, thought I'd share some of our decorations! The past few days have been non-stop Ariel led days. AKA, she is being very clingy these days. I think it was more so a good case of the crankies. She finally got a good nap in yesterday and boy did it make a difference in her attitude and behaviour last night. Its been somewhat a struggle to get her to nap a long time when the phone keeps ringing. She didn't use to react to it, sigh. It doesn't help that it has been ringing off the hook at nap time. I wouldn't doubt it is stressing her out. I took the phone off the hook and rocked her to sleep. Once she was in deep sleep nothing was waking her, and she got a few hours in. When she woke up, a meal and then into our woolies. Tonight was the official lighting of the village tree! YAY!
Ken was still gone at this point. He had been calling earlier to say the buses hadn't been showing up, and he had been there well over an hour. Ugh. So Ariel and I joined the caroling with the townfolk. Sorry no pics since I was holding her and on my own. After the songs, the countdown to the lighting of the tree. Whee! Then the parade down to the waterfront where the sailboats were passing all decorated. Nothing better than hearing the pipers play christmas songs, and along with that, actually singing songs about the real meaning of Christmas.
Ran into some friends from church and Nana. While chatting up walks Ken who had ended up taking a cab and needless to say was really hungry, tired and generally frustrated that no buses came. Took him home and fed him. He soon chilled out and called the bus customer line, apparently one bus broke down and another was vandalized. Lovely.
Tonight is the church's christmas banquet! Its being held at the christian school since we are lacking a kitchen at the moment with the construction. (We are also missing heat, but thats another story). Ken is teaching today, so he will join us when he gets back. Tomorrow is our Bible study party, so lots of gatherings this weekend.

The town events sound fun! Wish they had something like that out here! Maybe they do... I probably wouldn't know yet :)
If I was there, I would have joined you for the carolling :)
