Christmas Eve

Here we are again... it seems to come so fast and go just as quickly. This is by far the most magical night of the year. Tonight a full moon is filling the sky with light, much like a star that shone years ago. Tis the night of miracles.

But I go back to earlier today... it was a gorgeous day. Sure it was a tad on the cool side, but still the sun was out and it was great to get a long walk in to stretch the tired muscles. Ariel and I joined Nana for coffee this morning and then walked down to the village to get milk.

Got home for a nap and Ken coming home early from work. We had dinner of leftovers and headed to church for the candlelight service. It was lovely and meaningful, so rich in music and verse. I must say its the best one in a few years.

Ariel was in the nursery for most of the service, but we showed her the manger afterwards, I think she wanted to get in it. Hehe.

We piled into the car afterwards, and went around to look at Christmas lights. Ariel was very excited and kept saying 'oooh'.

Here are some cool ones...

Then home again to prepare our goodies for brunch the next morning. I love make ahead things, so I can enjoy the morning as well. Yay. Ariel is tucked in her bed, Ken and I have stuffed each others stockings, and Santa and has been and went. The house is pretty quiet now... perfect to listen for those Christmas Angels.

Finally, in closing for tonight, our final card... this years! Good night, and Merry Christmas!
